The well recommended Vienna Air King mountain bike dirt jump contest will take place on April 19th & 20th the third time. Europe's best riders will perform their newest and most spectacular tricks right in front of the picturesque Viennese city hall. In the centre of Vienna, the ARGUS Bike Festival will form the perfect framework for the Vienna Air King. Austria's biggest bike festival marks the beginning of every year's bike season and attracted over 65.000 visitors in 2007. After the great success of the last two year's events, the 2008 Vienna Air King will once again bring pure thrilling mountain bike freeride action to the inner city. The drop-in and the jumps will be even bigger this year. Europe's dirt jumping elite will show their latest tricks at a couple of 5-6m gaps in front of the city hall. Last years "Vienna Air King", Benny Korhaus will join the contest, too: "the Vienna Air King is one of the very first events in the season 2008. So it is the perfect place to meet all the old friends and see what's up with their riding skills after long winter time. In addition to that, the Vienna Air King takes place exactly one week before the first Nissan Qashai Challenge event, so it is the perfect training opportunity for me. I'm really looking forward to this weekend, it will be fun." Benny is only one of Europe's best dirt jumpers that are invited. But also rookies can apply for the Vienna Air king to become one of the additional riders. Please take a look at http://www.vienna-air-king.at to get all the relevant information. Only a few additional starting places being available, you have to hurry up. Following riders are already invited: Amir Kabbani (GER) Andi Wittmann (GER) Benny Korthaus (GER) Pierre Grawitter (GER) Rob Jauch (GER) Andi Brewi (AUT) Nikolaus Leitner (AUT) Mike Smith (UK) Lance McDermott (UK) Sam Pilgrim (UK) Mischa Breitenstein (CH) Pascal Breitenstein (CH) Christopher Hatton (FRA) Patrick Gumiez (FRA) Mads Andre Haugen (NOR) Trond Hansen (NOR) Darren Pokoj (AUS) Damjan Siriski (CZE) Martin Söderström (SWE) Nick Pescetto (ITA) No bike fan should miss this great event on April 19th-20th. It's not only the dirt jump contest that will attract visitors and spectators, but since it is part of the ARGUS Bike Festival, bike fans can wander around the exhibition area and check out the newest trends in the bike industry.
